For the past 25 years, our employees have volunteered their time and talents to the community in which we work and live. This historical commitment is being reinforced each year as we continue to support community and charitable organizations through volunteerism and sponsorships.
“Giving back to the local community is just the right thing to do, and REI encourages its staff to get involved. We are proud to have our corporate headquarters located in Durant, OK and I like to see our staff members participating in local activities to help make our community an even better place to live and work. REI is flexible when staff members are involved in community-related projects that may require time away from the office. We are also pleased to financially sponsor selected community events and participate in various charity drives. Our communities, our state and our nation are very dependent upon people that have the “heart of a volunteer” – and that’s a pretty good description of our organization.”

REI volunteers serve actively for groups such as Relay For Life, March of Dimes, Durant Main Street Program, Lion’s Club, American Heart Association and the U.S. Marine Corps. Toys For Tots program. This involvement includes organizing fund-raisers, participating in cleanup events, providing leadership and much more.
At REI, we take pride in contributing to causes that help to make a difference in our community. Over the years we have had many honors including the Business Leadership Award, Leadership Oklahoma, Inc. and the State Model of Excellence Award, U.S.SBA.
REI’s spirit has laid the foundations for our past and present success and will certainly continue to be part of the future. |
